Answering Your Avaya Phone
There are multiple ways to answer a call on an Avaya phone system.
When a call is incoming, you can:
- Press the “Answer” soft key
- Lift the handset
- Press the “Speakerphone” button
- Press the “Hook Switch” button on your wireless headset (if installed)
When your phone is receiving an incoming call, the caller’s information will appear in the phone’s display window.
Other Answer Features
- To send a call to your voicemail box, press the “To VM” soft key.
- To silence the ringing, press the “Ignore” soft key. If you do not answer, the call will eventually go to your voicemail box.
- To answer the call with the handset, simply lift the handset.
- To answer a call hands-free, press the “Speakerphone” button.
- To answer a call on your headset, press the “Headset” button or press the “Hook Switch” button on your headset.
