To transfer a call on your Avaya phone, you must have “Available Call” appearance keys on your phone. If you do not, you must end or park one of the existing calls.
A call is transferred by pressing the “Transfer” soft key, which automatically puts the call on hold.
Dial the extension you wish to transfer to and press “Complete.” Please note that a call is automatically put on hold when you press the “Transfer” key.
If you wish to transfer the call without first speaking to the new destination, press the “Complete” key immediately after entering the new destination’s extension number. This is called a “blind transfer.”
You can speak to the new destination first when you are transferring a call and give them information about the call. When you’re done speaking to them, press the “Complete” key. This is called a “supervised transfer.”
If the transfer destination does not answer or does not want to accept the call, press the “Cancel” button to retrieve the call.
